Our Impact For Charity.
GOATMOUNTAIN
Our Impact
GoatMountain™ was built around one belief: the climb matters more than the summit.
“When I picked up my cross, I had no idea how heavy it really was — until I tried to lift it off the ground.”
Life does not affect every family equally. Some families face medical, emotional and financial battles they never chose, carrying that weight quietly while the world keeps moving.
Through GoatMountain, we are raising awareness and funds in aid of The Archie Foundation, helping support the charity’s work with children, families and hospital services across the north of Scotland.
Our impact pledge
We set aside 20% of confirmed net profits, after costs, for charitable giving.
Our current fundraising initiative is in aid of The Archie Foundation. This pledge is designed to remain honest, sustainable and meaningful as GoatMountain grows.
In aid of The Archie Foundation
GoatMountain is proud to raise awareness and funds in aid of The Archie Foundation.
The Archie Foundation helps make a difference for children and families facing difficult moments, including through practical support, family facilities, specialist equipment and improvements to the hospital experience.
The Archie Foundation
Supporting babies, children and families when they need it most.
The Archie Foundation logo is used with permission to identify the charity this initiative is in aid of. GoatMountain is an independent commercial brand and does not act for, represent or fundraise on behalf of The Archie Foundation.
Want your support to go straight to the charity?
A direct donation to The Archie Foundation is handled by the charity itself and is the clearest route for immediate support.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a UK scheme that may allow a charity to claim additional value on an eligible donation at no extra cost to the donor.
A direct charitable donation and a GoatMountain retail purchase are separate transactions. Buying from GoatMountain is not the same as donating directly to The Archie Foundation.
You can also visit The Archie Foundation’s website to learn more about its work, services and current appeals.
How our pledge works (full transparency)
GoatMountain is a commercial clothing and lifestyle brand. It is not a registered charity.
Every GoatMountain item is sold as a standard retail product. Revenue first covers the genuine costs of operating the store and fulfilling customer orders, including:
- product manufacturing and fulfilment
- shipping and handling
- VAT and other applicable taxes
- Shopify, payment-processing and platform fees
- discounts, refunds, replacements and customer support
- marketing and essential operating expenses
- a reasonable reserve to keep fulfilment stable
What “net profit” means
Net profit is the amount remaining after the costs above have been paid and the figures have been confirmed. GoatMountain then sets aside 20% of that confirmed net profit for charitable giving.
Our current fundraising activity is in aid of The Archie Foundation. We do not claim that a fixed amount from every individual order is donated.
Impact pledge
20%
of confirmed net profits after costs
Contribution timing
Periodic
normally reviewed and contributed quarterly
The final amount may vary because production costs, shipping, discounts, refunds, supplier pricing, taxes and platform fees can change. For that reason, all giving is calculated from confirmed net profit rather than advertised as a fixed donation per item.
Raising awareness
Our aim is not only to raise funds, but also to help more people discover The Archie Foundation and understand the difference its work can make.
Where appropriate, GoatMountain may use The Archie Foundation’s approved logo in online advertising and social-media content, link people to the charity’s website and tag the charity so it can engage with relevant posts.
These references identify the charity our initiative is in aid of. They do not mean GoatMountain acts on the charity’s behalf.
Honouring the NHS
We honour the doctors, nurses, support staff and hospital teams who care for children and families during their most vulnerable moments.
GoatMountain does not represent the NHS and is not endorsed by the NHS. Our words are simply an expression of gratitude and respect for the people who serve families through difficult seasons.
Why we communicate this carefully
We believe trust is built through clear language, realistic promises and accurate reporting.
That means being open about:
- the difference between a retail purchase and a direct donation
- the costs involved in producing and delivering our products
- the percentage of confirmed net profit we set aside
- the charity our current activity is in aid of
- the fact that GoatMountain is independent and does not act on behalf of the charity
Our commitment
We will avoid vague claims such as “all proceeds” and will not describe GoatMountain purchases as direct charitable donations. We will communicate our pledge as accurately as possible and update this page as our impact develops.
Accountability
Contributions are calculated from confirmed net profits and are normally reviewed periodically, with the intention of making contributions on a quarterly basis where practical.
As GoatMountain grows, we aim to:
- keep accurate internal records of amounts set aside
- retain donation or contribution confirmations
- share suitable updates when contributions are made
- review the wording on this page so it remains accurate
This page will grow as our impact grows.
What this is — and what it is not
This is
- a long-term commitment to give responsibly
- an initiative raising awareness and funds in aid of The Archie Foundation
- a transparent way to turn commercial activity into positive impact
- an invitation for customers to learn more about the charity
This is not
- a fundraising campaign operated on behalf of The Archie Foundation
- a statement that GoatMountain represents the charity
- a promise that every order creates a fixed donation
- a claim that a retail purchase is itself a charitable donation
Thank you
Thank you to everyone who has supported GoatMountain, shared our message, learned more about The Archie Foundation or donated directly.
Impact is not always loud.
Sometimes it is choosing to keep climbing — and helping others do the same.
